Butternut Race Club

The Board of Directors

Jen Premisler
President

Jen grew up skiing in Butternut’s race program, teaching SkiWee, then coaching Development. She is a Senior Vice President at Mastercard in the product strategy team and has served in many capacities there including Assistant Corporate Secretary and Lead Finance Lawyer.

Jen’s two boys represent Tri-State and Interclub. She’s passionate about BRC being a social community for race families and alumni. You can find her with her heels free heading up Cruiser/Freewheeler or having lunch with family and friends on the Cruiser deck.

Jess Musiak
Co-President

Jess has been a member of the Butternut community for over 35 years. As a child, she learned to ski in SkiWee (now the Adventures Program) and then raced in Interclub and Tri-State. Later, she taught SkiWee and eventually coached Interclub. Jess has been on the BRC Board for five years, the last three serving as President.

Jess even met her husband, Bill, at the mountain and their two children learned to ski here as toddlers, and now both race Tri-State. When not skiing, Jess lives in Boston and runs a consulting firm that focuses on clinical trials for medical devices.

Kristina Miller
Vice-President

Kristina is a lifelong resident of the Berkshires and started skiing at the age of three at Ski Butternut, where she later became a ski instructor. Her three children have been skiing with the Butternut Race Club since they were eligible for the program. She has two sons on the Tri-State team and a daughter in Interclub.

Kristina and her family spend every weekend on the mountain together from opening day to closing day. She and her husband Stuart can often be found cruising down Freewheeler, at the Upper Lodge warming up from a cold day, and at the bottom of Main Street cheering on all of the racers on race day.

Off-mountain, Kristina has spent her career in independent schools as a fundraiser, event planner, and communications and marketing professional. She is thrilled to have joined the Butternut Race Club Board in July 2021 as the Clerk/Secretary.

Randi Lewis
Treasurer

Randi has been skiing at Butternut for 15 years. She has two children in the race program and has enjoyed watching them grow over the years.

Randi works in Corporate Finance and Accounting in New York City and looks forward to achieving great things with the Race Club Board.

Sam Poor
Secretary/Clerk

Sam lives in Brooklyn, NY with his wife Olivia, and their three children. A life-long East Coast skier, he has been skiing at Butternut since 2013, usually in a green jacket.  Away from the mountain, he manages Technology & Telecommunications partnerships at Vox Media, an independent media company based in Washington, DC, and New York.

Sam and his family are very grateful for the dedication of the Butternut Race Club and its board, as well as the wonderful coaches and instructors at Butternut, and very much look forward to being more involved in such a tremendous program.

Alexis Aoyama

Ali grew up in Western Massachusetts skiing at Butternut and Blandford. She lives in New York City with her husband Bryen and two daughters, Zoë and Malia. Since 2014, the Aoyama family has spent their winter weekends at Butternut – Zoë and Malia participated in the development and interclub programs, and for the past two years, they have loved being part of the tri-state team. Ali cherishes Butternut’s family atmosphere and the friendships that have developed over the years.

Ali is a senior administrator at an all-boys independent school. She looks forward to serving on the Butternut Race Club Board and supporting the incredible Butternut coaches.

Seamus Brown

Seamus and his family have been Butternut season pass holders since first buying a house in NW CT more than 16 years ago. A snowboarder for over 35 years, he came to ski racing as a complete novice only after his elder daughter – Addison – demanded to join interclub after a successful week of Christmas camp. Having experienced the comradery, bravery, and independence fostered by the Butternut program, ski racing is now a staple of the Brown family’s winter life as Addison races for both the tri-state and Indian Mountain School in Lakeville and Cassidy advances further in the Interclub program.

Already an active volunteer and full-time ski racer sherpa, Seamus is looking forward to giving back to both the club and mountain, which have given his girls so much. When not riding Overbrook or doing laps skinning up Freewheeler, Seamus works in finance splitting his time between New York and NW CT where his family lives.

Simon White

Simon is originally from Australia and a New York resident since 2009. The family has been coming to Butternut since 2014.

He is a firm believer that the Club’s success is driven by the efforts of volunteers, parents, and coaches. Simon is always willing to volunteer at races (he’s been a gate judge, done race timing and start gates).

When not at Butternut, Simon manages a team of analysts at S&P Global Ratings and has 20+ years of experience in accounting, banking, and capital markets.

Greg Knight
Director of Racing

Greg started skiing at the age of 3 and fell in love with the sport. He raced in Tri-State as a child and skied for his high school.

In college, he coached Interclub on weekends. Greg has coached Interclub and Tri-State from U12 through U18. Both of Greg’s kids have had successful ski careers and graduated through the Butternut Race Program. Greg also coaches the Lenox High School Ski Team.

When not on the mountain, Greg is an owner at Wheeler & Taylor Inc. in Great Barrington. He loves the family atmosphere and lifelong friendships he has made during his years at Butternut.
