Weekend Update: Jan 14-15

Saturday Jan 14
Interclub: 
Meet at trees behind the office at 9am for the morning session.
U12/U14/U16: GS all weekend – Meet at triple chair for 7:30am start on Freewheeler. Video analysis and Directed free-skiing in the afternoon.
U19: Meet at 7:30am at the Race Shack for GS on Main Street.

Sunday Jan 15
Interclub: 
Meet at trees behind the office at 9am for the morning session.
U12/14: GS all weekend – Meet at the triple for 7:30am start on Freewheeler. Video analysis and Directed free-skiing in the afternoon.
U16: Racers not attending the U19 race will train with the U12/14 group.
U19: GS Race at Berkshire East – Be ready to be on snow no later than 8am.

Interclub – Time to Register for Races!
It’s time to register for the Interclub races.  You can sign up for all 5 races at once.  Please complete this ASAP as the first race is less than 2 weeks away!

In order to register for the races, your child must first have a USSA and Tri-State (TARA) Membership www.ussa.org

  • U14 and younger racers should register as a “Youth Competitor”
    The online system will allow U14 racers to register as a “Competitor” (as this permitted out west), but do not do this
  • U16 and older should register as a “Competitor”

You can then register for the races on adminskiracing.com

  • Select the Region: Tri-state – Eastern
  • Scroll down and find the 5 Interclub races listed by the host mountain
         Jan 22  @ Blandford GS
         Jan 29 @ Butternut GS and Skills Quest
         Feb 5 @ Catamount GS
         Feb 26 @ Otis SL (U8 and younger do not compete in the SL race)
         Mar 5 @ Bousquet GS
  • Add each race to you cart
  • The cost of each race is $30 
    Butternut has waived the cost of the home race on Jan 29.  Please enter “BUTT” for the club code (on the “Add Participant” Page) for this race and you will be credited the $30 registration fee
  • Registration done at the mountain the morning of the race (not completed on-line) will be subject to an additional $10 late fee on top of the $30 registration fee

Butternut Race Club Family Socials
Book your calendars – the first Butternut Race Club Social of the season will be on Saturday, January 21 in the backroom of the Upper Lodge.  Come have dinner ($5 per person) and socialize with coaches and other race families.

The end of year social and fundraiser will be on Saturday March 4.  More info to follow!

Bake Sale Update
The club raised more than $700 at our first annual bake sale.  Thanks tho the Smick and Zolan families for organizing the bake sale and to all the families who participated.  Funds will go toward enhancing our program to support skill development of our athletes and overall effectiveness of our program.
