SkillsQuest, a clinic developed by the USSA, was designed to help young skiers develop foundational skiing and racing skills. On Sunday February 10th, 6 and 7 year old Interclub racers will be joining a coaching staff on the Overbrook triple chair slopes to sharpen their skills and complete the day long clinic. Interclub racers, aged 8 and above, will also be encouraged to join the fun after their runs in the morning and afternoon.
Focus areas will be: Pole Jumping, Outside Ski Drill, Sideslip with edge set, and Pole Planting in GS turns. Awards will be given at the end of the day.
Registration for 6-7 year olds will be on Saturday at 2PM for Butternut racers at the Pine Trees and on Sunday morning from 8:00 am -8:45 am for all other mountain racers. The SkillsQuest Clinic will run from 9:00-11:00 in the morning and resume from 12:30 to 2:30PM on the Overbrook Triple slopes.
